The man was driving a campervan and allegedly ran a stop sign at the intersection of Two Chain Road and Riversdale-Waikaia Road near Riversdale on Friday morning.
His campervan collided with a Nissan car being driven by Sri Lankan dairy worker Pradeep Edirisinghe, 44, who died at the scene.
